Tasting the Robert Parker 98pts The Armagh is almost surreal. The food at Osia was great and the 2005 McRae Wood Shiraz seems to have made quite an impression with several guests. Alas, but The Armagh stole the show.

We celebrated Tony’s birthday at the dinner as well. Tony and Joanne Mitchell (from left to right, far right: Peter Barry) are great fans of Jim Barry Wines. We are very glad to have them in attendance.
A novel interpretation of the ubiquitous pan-seared foie gras:
Polenta crumb crust over the foie gras lightly pan-seared, with poached daikon in a miso based sauce, and sliced banana, raisins and rum

Peter Barry, Managing Director of Jim Barry Wines performed his duties with much flair, when one of his very rare 1994 The Armagh Magnum was sold on the very night it was released. It was sold to a gentleman dining with his family of 12, for SGD1,880.00.

We had a great evening and thanks to the staff at Osia for their impeccable service and hospitality. Many thanks to Peter Barry as well for producing such amazing wines!
